HiPack had the privilege of collaborating with Cartier to create an exclusive line of 3D promotional cards featuring a voice recording function. These cards unfold to reveal a romantically intricate laser-etched scene, with a special touch: the Changan mark that plays a custom voice message.
Overcoming Production Challenges
Creating these exquisite cards came with its own set of challenges. The primary issue was ensuring the laser etching was precise enough to match the intricate design without errors. Achieving this level of precision required meticulous calibration of our laser cutting machines.
Our team ran numerous tests, adjusting the laser's power and speed settings to achieve flawless cuts. This process was crucial because even the slightest misalignment could ruin the entire design. After several iterations, we perfected the technique, ensuring each card was a perfect replica of the original design.
The addition of the voice recording feature also required careful integration. We had to ensure that the sound module was seamlessly incorporated into the card without affecting its aesthetic or structural integrity. Through innovative design solutions and precise engineering, we successfully embedded the voice module, providing an elegant and functional promotional card.
