High-Cost Specialty Paper for Italian Export Project

HiPack recently embarked on a prestigious project exporting to Italy, using a specialty paper called "potato paper" from Spain. This paper, costing 200 RMB per sheet and approximately 100,000 RMB per ton, is exceptionally smooth yet slightly textured, providing a luxurious feel that our client specifically requested.

Overcoming Production Challenges

The primary challenge was the high cost and limited supply of the specialty paper, which we sourced specifically as per our client’s preference. Initially, we attempted to replicate the paper's unique texture and visual appeal using domestic suppliers to reduce costs. Despite our efforts, the printing quality of the imitations was subpar, with colors appearing dull and not meeting the client’s standards.

After multiple failed attempts to match the quality and appearance, we decided to proceed with the original imported paper. The core of the project was to create folding boxes that were easy to store and transport.

We used multiple magnets for secure closure and a Japanese mud structure for the paper bags to avoid creases and enhance the aesthetic appeal.

The handle and drawstring were made from black threaded ribbon, reinforced at the bottom and handles for durability.

The boxes featured a distinctive black and gold gradient logo, emphasizing the brand’s prestige.

Despite the high material costs, our commitment to quality ensured the final product met the client’s exacting standards, highlighting HiPack’s dedication to excellence.
