Recently, HiPack collaborated with a food company to develop mooncake packaging boxes using the latest Pantone color trends. The innovative design allows the box to rotate open and transform into a display stand, perfect for in-store showcasing.
Magnetic closures ensure ease of use, while the bright yellow and ultimate gray colors from last year's Pantone palette provide a modern look.
Made from virgin pulp paper, the packaging is vibrant and versatile, doubling as a desk organizer once the mooncakes are consumed.
Overcoming Production Challenges
The primary challenge was the complex rotating mechanism that transforms the box into a display stand. Ensuring the box could smoothly transition from a closed to an open position without losing structural integrity required precise engineering and high-quality materials.
Another challenge was sourcing and integrating strong magnets for secure closure. We also had to ensure the vibrant Pantone colors were accurately reproduced on the virgin pulp paper, which demanded a high level of printing precision to maintain the bright and consistent look.
Ultimately, we created a packaging solution that not only protects and presents the mooncakes beautifully but also transforms into a useful display or storage box, emphasizing sustainability and multifunctionality.
