The Art of Creating Seamless Drawer Boxes

At HiPack, we understand the nuances that make a drawer box exceptional. Despite having the same size, thickness, and paper weight, some drawer boxes glide smoothly while others do not. The secret lies in the embossing pattern of the paper.

Overcoming Production Challenges

One significant challenge was achieving the right balance between aesthetics and functionality in the embossing process. Initially, our deep and crisscross embossing patterns caused increased friction, making the drawer difficult to open. We conducted extensive tests, adjusting the depth and spacing of the embossing to reduce friction while maintaining the visual appeal.

Another challenge was the internal air pressure in deeper boxes, which created resistance when opening. We redesigned the box with small vent holes to equalize the air pressure, making the drawer easier to open without compromising the design.

This box not only features a debossed effect but also has some lines with an intersecting embossed effect.

The friction caused by the uneven surface is significant, especially since this design has embossing on both the inside and outside.

The logo application also required precision. Using hot stamping with gold foil, we created a stunning decorative outline around the logo. Implementing a deeply embossed technique enhanced the visual effect, adding an extra layer of elegance.

Our dedication to detail and quality control ensured the creation of drawer boxes that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional, meeting the high standards of luxury packaging.
